We want to solve the issue of human trafficking across the United States and Mexico, specifically sex trafficking. Sex trafficking is a highly underreported sector of crime and in some countries there are not even laws to protect it. This issue needs more awareness and attention because only 1% of victims of sex trafficking survive.

Our idea is a self defense workout class that is designed to not only give someone a good workout but also teach them self defense moves that they could use to protect themselves when being faced with an attacker. These moves would be designed around the most common ways attackers of human trafficking take their victims. Our model would designed so that every workout class purchased in the United States is used to fund another self defense class in Mexico.

Main Beneficiaries:

The beneficiaries of our idea would be the population of women ages 15 to 30 in Houston, Texas; along with women of the same age range in Mexico.
