Problem:

A large percentage of people with hearing disabilities need an interpreter to achieve effective communication; the deaf does not have a sense of independence. Hiring an interpreter can turn out to be a huge drain on money.

Idea:

Signality has the objective of facilitating and optimizing communication between listeners and non-listeners, through an app built on the basis of artificial intelligence. It has two functionalities: 1._ Translate the spoken words, and represent them in sign language. 2._ Read the movements of the non-listener and produce a response in audio format.

Main Beneficiaries:

According to WHO, in the world, 1.5 billion people live with some degree of hearing loss, of which about 430 million need rehabilitation services. Our services would first focus on the Ecuadorian and Latin American community, and then expand our services to more distant territories.

Stage:

Inspiration and ideation

SDG:

GOAL 3: Good Health and Well-being

GOAL 10: Reduced Inequality
