Problem:

Poor diagnosis: Many children with ASD do not receive a definitive diagnosis, and some do not receive a diagnosis until they are adolescents or adults. Doctors can only observe a child's behavior as she grows older. (CDC, 2022). Symptoms related to this disorder appear in childhood and tend to persist until older ages. Discontinuity monitoring of development: Currently, monitoring shows lack of continuity given the lack of time of parents and/or caregivers. This hinders the child's development

Idea:

Kibbo is software adaptable to the specific needs of children with ASD. Thanks to our database, we will be able to identify unique patterns of the child. Thus, Kibbo will be able to make decisions to help the child develop their social skills in a playful way. Will be able to: Continuous monitoring of development: Thanks to his ability to observe through cameras, he will be able to understand typical behavioral patterns of the child, essential for early intervention. Assist in the diagnosis

Main Beneficiaries:

Families (client): The clients will be the adults in charge of the children with ASD, whether they are fathers, mothers, or legal guardians, since they are in charge of financing the therapies, medications and/or treatments. Children with ASD (End User): End users are infants, children and adolescents with ASD. This covers a range from 0 to 18 years, a critical age range for the development and insertion of the individual in society. The latter share their day to day life with Kibbo. In the future, we are considering expanding to clinics, hospitals, medical centers and foundations, which will be another customer segment. Every year, the rate of people with ASD increases by 10% (Autism Center, 2016). According to Autism Speaks, the cost of caring for people with autism in the US was $268 billion in 2015. This figure is expected to rise to $461 billion by 2025. The average cost of caring for a person with autism is USD$42,000 per year. Considering that in Chile there are about 50,000 children and adolescents who suffer from ASD if families are included, it is part of the daily life of 200,000 people, we have a figure of USD$2,100MM. We also believe that Kibbo can be scalable to be commercialized in Diagnostic and Therapy Centers (Clinics, Hospitals and Foundations).
