DiaOsApp

Problem:

Complexity in the bone densitometry interpretation results by health personnel in medical centers located in remote low-resource Peruvian places.

Idea:

DiaOsApp is a mobile app that eases the interpretation of the results of the patient bone densitometry exam (DXA) quickly and accurately. Also, it provides suggestions to complete the treatment and improve the lifestyle. First, the health personnel must type the following data in the app: T-score, Z-score, and DMO (values that come from the DXA results). Then, these are compared to the ranges given by the International Osteoporosis Foundation, and finally, the app shows the patient's diagnosis.

Main Beneficiaries:

Osteoporosis is the most common bone disease worldwide, affecting 200 million people, costing billions of dollars in the care of patients with osteoporosis, and becoming a public health problem. Peru is no stranger to this problem, so the number of direct beneficiaries will be around 1 million 24 thousand people over 50 years of age. colocar lo de la fraatura xd
