Problem:

Single-use plastic on daily food consumption. People everyday use different types of materials to foil their food, but the most used is plastic and aluminum foil. The problem is those materials are part of one-single-use products. That means, people after using this it goes directly to trash and then they use another one new. Garbage has been growing over the years and one-single-use products do not help with it. In 2019, BBC News said that every year people make 2,1 million of garbage all over

Idea:

Make green paper made of wool, almond or olive oil, honeybee resin and pine resin to replace plastic and aluminum foil. It is reusable, when people finish using it, they only must wash it and let it dry to use again. People can use this for approximately 6 month and after this is completely compostable. Due to this, there is no contamination after it finishes its time.

Main Beneficiaries:

We focus on people around… We want to involve beekeepers in Ecuador. There is more than 200 thousand beehives from which only 12 thousand end up being used. There's not enough demand of this product which leaves infrastructure to waste. This is an inefficiency in the country's production that we can try to improve. Furthermore it would reduce the long time cost for big users of this plastics and aluminum such as restaurants and food chains.
