APOY-A piece of you

Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (Perú)

Problem:

In Perú, the figures are diverse in terms of organ donation, with Peru standing out as the penultimate country in terms of its rate (1.6 donors per million Peruvians). Only 13.4% of Peruvians of legal age have stated that "yes" they will donate their organs after their death. Also, around 700 people die each year due to the absence of organ donors. Some factors that could affect the decision to donate an organ are due to the lack of culture and stigma of donating.

Idea:

A modern board game that encourages integration between friends/family, with a health education component that demonstrates and promotes the importance of organ donation. APOY is a resource placement game that takes place within a city that needs to be made aware of organ donation. Currently, the game mechanics have been developed (prototype), but funds are needed for professional design and printing.

Main Beneficiaries:

First group: The general public that shows interest in board games and students who are close to graduating from high school in public and private schools in Lima, since, at this stage, students are close to completing their ID, where they must express their willingness to be donors. In total there are 6 million 797,295 schoolchildren enrolled in 84,917 educational institutions throughout the country. Second group: city halls, associations or other key institutionsseeking activations or campaigns to encourage blood and organ donation. Third group: Cayetano Heredia community in demonstration spaces in coordination with the university welfare department and others.
