EcoPass

Problem:

The importance of the tourism industry, both nationally and globally, is the basis for our research topic. Therefore, our goal is to explore the different realities of the tourism industry through contact with experts in the field. We want to learn about the current problems facing the industry in our country and the sustainability measures that are currently being implemented. We have identified two specific problems: the lack of tourist awareness and the limited exposure of sustainable tourism

Idea:

EcoPass is an app that helps tourists travel more sustainably. It shows you where to find sustainable restaurants and hotels, and it teaches you about the environmental impact of tourism. Moreover it would have strategic alliances with foundations that are working on the environment.

Main Beneficiaries:

The beneficiaries of this project include sustainable hotels, travel agencies, the Ministry of Tourism, local communities that rely on tourism, such as local artisans and informal vendors. Foundations that need sponsors to help more people.
