Be Mawün

Problem:

The problem is there is no household waste collection and management system in rural areas, and they don´t have the facility to go to the urbanization to take their waste to authorized sites or to burn their garbage. There is also no environmental education on the negative environmental and agricultural impacts of these actions.

Idea:

Waste management service based on circular economy which removes waste from homes in these rural areas, specifically plastics, and then transforms them into useful implements for daily farming and agricultural work.

Main Beneficiaries:

People from rural communities in southern Chile. Where there is no waste management system, in addition to living in areas far from the larger cities.
