Problem:

The problem of food waste in schools arises mainly from menu planning that is not adjusted to student preferences, and food management that is not based on actual consumption data. Lack of awareness of the impact of waste and limited time for lunch also contribute significantly to this problem.

Idea:

Interactive waste reduction system that uses customizable playful characters, such as Tommy, to encourage proper disposal of organic waste in schools. The system focuses on incorporating food tray scanning technology in a child-friendly design that engages children and facilitates effective, non-invasive food waste analysis.

Main Beneficiaries:

Initially schools, but in the future it can be used in all spaces where food is delivered, such as hotels, casinos, etc.

Stage:

None
