Positive Wear

Universidad San Francisco de Quito USFQ

Problem:

"Fast fashion" is a model of the fashion industry that produces clothing on a large scale and at an accelerated pace, which entails negative environmental impacts due to the intensive use of resources and generation of waste.

Idea:

Positive Wear is a online platform that provides an easy and convenient way to buy, sell, and swap high-quality secondhand clothing. We aim to help people declutter their wardrobes and offer others access to sustainable fashion, all while reducing the fashion industry's environmental impact through reuse and a circular economy approach.

Main Beneficiaries:

The people that benefit from our entrepreneurship are principally two targets. Our first target incluye teenagers and young adults from 16 to 30 years old, those who are interested in generating ecological change and in sustainable fashion. Through its proximity to social media, it complements its need to acquire new clothes, self expression and identity. Our second target includes adults between 30 and 55 years old, who seek to combine a casual or elegant style with comfort throughout their day. In addition, they look for cheap and original options that are easy to include in their styles and allow them to look good and highlight their work and personal activities.
