Problem:
In Miami, many low-income people face difficulties accessing adequate legal advice, which results in the lack of protection of their rights. This includes issues such as lack of representation in eviction cases, family law, and immigration matters. The complexity of the legal system and the high cost of legal services aggravate this situation.
Idea:
Our proposal is to create a mobile legal clinic that provides free legal advice in low-income communities in Miami. We will have a team of lawyers and volunteers who will offer consultations and informative workshops on legal rights. The mobile clinic will move to different neighborhoods, removing transportation and cost barriers, and ensuring more people have access to justice.
Main Beneficiaries:
The primary beneficiaries of this initiative are residents of low-income communities in Miami, who currently lack legal resources. It is estimated that approximately 4,000 people will directly benefit from our services each year.
