Problem:

The lack of an accessible, user-friendly tool that enables individuals and small businesses in Ecuador to measure their carbon footprint, receive tailored recommendations for reduction, and visualize the impact of their actions in real time holds back the potential for meaningful change.

Idea:

Imagine a rewards system that recognizes and celebrates positive actions, inspiring a shift toward a sustainable future. Because nothing drives change better than being rewarded for actions that benefit our planet.

Main Beneficiaries:

1. Individuals: People across Ecuador, especially those looking to reduce their personal carbon footprint but currently lacking the tools and guidance to do so effectively. This segment includes environmentally conscious individuals, those new to sustainable practices, and individuals interested in tracking and reducing their impact. The estimated reach could initially include thousands and grow rapidly as awareness of climate issues spreads. 2. Small and Medium Businesses (SMEs): SMEs in Ecuador, representing a significant portion of the economy, are often unable to afford complex sustainability tools. With accessible carbon tracking, personalized reduction recommendations, and incentives, these businesses can incorporate eco-friendly practices that not only benefit the planet but can also improve brand reputation. This could potentially reach tens of thousands of SMEs across the country. 3. Wider Community and Environment: By empowering individuals and businesses to take accountable, measurable actions toward carbon reduction, the initiative benefits the larger community by promoting a collective shift in mindset. As this ripple effect grows, the overall environmental impact could contribute to Ecuador's broader sustainability goals, benefiting the entire population of over 17 million as awareness and participation expand. Ultimately, this tool aims to be a catalyst for widespread change, benefiting both direct users and the larger society by fostering a culture of sustainability.
