Problem:

Chile has an uneven educational system that can be seen in the results of standardized tests such as PISA, SIMCE and PSU. After pandemic the difference will be worse. For that we want to close the gap promoting abilities that will be necessary for the future and potentially could improve the score on standardized tests. In particular we want to focus on develop critical thinking and leadership.

Idea:

A 3-4 weeks program to develop critical thinking and leadership. We based our program in programs and syllabus from our university courses. For the first ability we consider 3 cognitive characteristics to develop: reading comprehension, logic and argumentation. For the second one, we consider self awareness, empowering others and solution oriented. We believe in learning-by-doing education so these skills will be developed through playful and innovative activities.

Main Beneficiaries:

Students between 15 and 17 years old from public and subsidized schools.
